WEDDING CEREMONIES

I specialize in playing beautiful music with an ethnic flair for your wedding ceremony. I have a large repertoire of Scandinavian folk music that is very ceremonial and ideally suited to solo violin or a small ensemble. It is lush, harmony-filled music with joyous processionals and a wondrous sense of celebration. Listeners often comment that it has a romantic, old-world feel that transports them to a far-off, magical place and makes their ceremony extremely unique.

I can play solo or with a selection of other instrumentalists. Other instruments that I might be able to include are guitar, bass, accordion, or even a second or third violin. I especially enjoy performing with my husband, Eric Vormelker, on bass.

I offer reasonable rates and abundant experience that makes the musical part of your ceremony planning simple and worry-free.

I also offer Eastern European Klezmer music for Jewish wedding ceremonies. For that I highly recommend at least a trio of violin/bass/accordion.

Fiddlers caught spirits and dreams whirling through the air, pulled them down to earth, where mere mortals could hear and see them. They brought the dead to life, and brought magic down from the sky, and made dreams more real than logic. ~ Luanne Rice, 'Summer of Roses'
