Wedding Ceremonies - Testimonials

Lisa and Eric played for our July wedding at Chapel Dulcinea recently and we cannot praise them enough for the work they did. I take violin lessons with Lisa and I was already acquainted with the style of music she plays. But my fiance was originally looking for something more strictly classical. Lisa and Eric played some music for us to see if their more folksy style would work. What I really loved about the experience was how low-pressure they were about it.

They were completely cool with whatever decision we made and even offered to refer us to others if we didn't choose them. After one song, my fiance was as convinced as I was, though. We knew their sound would perfectly complement our setting. On the day itself they ended up helping even more than I imagined they could. One of the wedding participants was about 45 minutes late, which took a toll on my nerves. After we finally started, and I heard their music playing, it completely calmed me. It was beautiful and perfect.

After the ceremony was over, I got to speak to them briefly and they were all smiles. You wouldn't have thought they had to sit waiting in the heat for much longer than they had planned! I would refer Lisa and Eric to anyone who wants their wedding music to have a unique flavor and would like to work with accommodating professionals. Bravissimi!

When my husband and I began looking into musicians to play at our ceremony, I never dreamed that we would find the wealth of talent, musical knowledge, and professionalism that we found with Lisa and Eric. Not only were they a pleasure to work with, but their range of folk and Scandinavian fiddle and bass ballads added nothing less than sparks of old world 'magic' to our ceremony. My husband and I couldn't be happier that they agreed to play at our wedding ceremony, and Lisa presented a variety of options for musical tastes and preferences, which is a sign of their musical accomplishments. We are lucky to have found Lisa, and trust me, I have been to many weddings in the past -- their sound is intimate, true, and unbeatable!

Sincerely & wishing Fiddlisa the best,

Erin & Randy

I just wanted to thank you so much for your beautiful services at my wedding ceremony. As I was waiting in the hall before entering, your music calmed my nerves and completed the atmosphere perfectly. All of the guests were raving, and the rabbi especially was enamored by it!

Thank you, thank you!

Lisa was absolutely AWESOME to work with. She was professional and made everything VERY easy on me (the bride). She was great about communicating with me and staying on top of things (something I cannot say for any of my other vendors)- and she was flexible, but also very helpful. And her price was VERY reasonable. Most importantly, her music was INCREDIBLE. She set the tone for the whole night (which ended up PERFECT)- she has such a cool sound- it's very unique (but not off the wall weird) it's romantic and sweet, but fun and joyful... it had a very intimate feel... and everyone told me I wouldn't remember the music afterward- but I did, because I loved it so much. I've watched our wedding video a couple times just to hear her music. I highly recommend hiring Lisa- she was the perfect, unique alternative to the regular "wedding music" (organ, string quartet, etc. etc. yawn yawn).... THANKS LISA!

Lisa was a joy to work with. She had great suggestions, was flexible in working with us on designing the ceremony, and of course she played beautifully. If you want music that is both appropriate in tone, but that's also fun (music you might want to listen to even when you AREN'T getting married), then look her up!

Thank you so very much for the beautiful music that you played at our daughters wedding at the Chapel Dulcinea. As we got out of the car on our arrival, it sounded so lovely as it echoed out over the hills.

Your choice of music was perfect and we received many comments about how lovely it sounded as it pealed out on such a perfect evening. Your playing really did compliment the simple, sweet wedding that our daughter had and helped to make it an enjoyable event for all those who attended.

Thank you also for the understanding and support that you extended to us at planning a wedding from a such a distance. This helped to make such a feat easy to accomplish.

Always enjoy playing, it is such a wonderful thing to be able to do.

Kindest regards, Vivienne and Michael Brookes

We want to thank you for the beautiful music you provided for our June wedding. Though neither of us was specifically looking for European music, the folk tunes you suggested were absolutely beautiful, and we found them a perfect fit for our outdoor ceremony here in Austin. You were easy to work with, and we especially appreciated the guidance you provided regarding the song selections. Most of all, your music was exquisite, and our ceremony would not have been the same without it. We plan on recommending you to any of our friends needing a violinist in the near future!

All the best, Cory and Dennis -- Austin, Texas

The whole ceremony was a blur, and I wanted to wait until I saw the video. All I remember from that day was that the music was right on queue. Now that I finally get to focus on it in video, you guys did a wonderful job and the music was absolutely perfect. I really appreciate it all and hope that I can give you some of my friends' business in the future.

We hired Lisa to play violin for both our daughters' weddings and were very satisfied with her professionalism, reliability, and especially her performance. We were already familiar with her capabilities as a klezmer fiddler and we worked together to select the appropriate music for my first daughter's traditional Jewish ceremony. For our second daughter's wedding, Lisa learned the melody for a special Israeli song that she played during the bridal procession. We would not hesitate to recommend Lisa for any joyous occasion requiring a solo violinist or klezmer band fiddler.

When we started to look at organizing our wedding, the music was our first task. We got Lisa's name from my mother and stepfather, who used her at their wedding. Within minutes of meeting Lisa, and listening to her play, we knew that she was the one. Lisa played at our wedding in the heat of summer and thinking back to that day, the sound of music in the air captured that moment forever. They say that you only remember a few things from your wedding day. The music is what made our wedding very special and unforgettable!

Lisa is not only a professional, but an incredibly wonderful person to work with. She is so easy going, and so knowledgeable in so many different styles of music. My husband and I wanted to have violins in our wedding ceremony and music that had a Celtic flare. We sought Lisa out, and were completely blown away by her audition and how affordable she was. The music she suggested was perfect! We immediately hired her, along with her partner Anne, and they did an absolutely wonderful job. They were both prompt and professional, and to this day, my guests are still raving about the beautiful music we had at our ceremony. Both Lisa and Anne made our wedding ceremony so memorable. I would recommend Lisa's services to anyone.
