I became fascinated with the idea of teaching a machine to be able to recognize left from right. In this
sketch, you push the mouse around a reference point, and the display will report the direction toward
the reference, your angle from the reference, your current heading (or the last frame's, if you stop),
whether you are approaching, and if you are on a course
to pass to the left or right of the reference. Also, though it's difficult to aim with the necessary
mouse precision, it also knows when your approach is directly on axis.
