KOLORASH is a folk dance band specializing in the folk music of Eastern and Northern Europe (primarily Hungary, Romania, Scandinavia, and the Balkans). Sometimes soft and sweet, sometimes rough-edged and primitive sounding, all the music we play is meant for dancing.

We've been developing our Hungarian repertoire since about January of 1995. In the past, we performed for/with the Austin Csárdás Hungarian Performing Dance Group either for táncház (dance parties) or a variety of public performances at festivals around Texas.

The name, KOLORASH, is an American misspelling of the town in Romania where Lisa's grandmother was born.
